Yvonne T. Simon
Yvonne Simon has been practicing law for more than two decades. She is a highly experienced litigator, however, she strives to amicably settle her clients’ cases whenever possible.
Prior to practicing Family Law, Ms. Simon practiced civil litigation, which experience she draws upon to address many cross-over issues that occur in complex Family Law litigation matters.
Ms. Simon has participated in the presentation of Family Law seminars. She has also published articles and was counsel on a published appellate opinion. On a volunteer basis, Ms. Simon has represented dozens of Petitioners in adoption proceedings through Public Counsel’s Adoption Project and she has twice been the recipient of the State Bar of California Wiley M. Manuel Pro Bono Award.
Ms. Simon is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (with Departmental Honors in Philosophy), and Loyola Law School. While in law school, Ms. Simon was a selected team member of the Trial Advocacy Team; the Co-Founder and President of a student law association; the recipient of the Dean’s Certificate of Appreciation; and the recipient of the F.A.T.I. Award.
Ms. Simon also received specialized training through the Houston Family Law Trial Institute (2009), and the Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association Interdisciplinary Training (2011).
Ms. Simon is a member of the State Bar of California, all United States District Courts in the State of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
